Skydivingcharlotte.com helped educate me on skydiving and I helped me find places to skydive, so I cited their information page. However I am unsure who the author is since there are none cited. The article spoke about the differences between Tandem Skydiving and Accelerated Freefall. It spoke on the necessities to become certified, what you will experience, how fast you will be flying, and even the amount of time you have before opening your parachute. As stated before, I found this information to be very helpful in learning more about skydiving and it helped me find a good company to assist me in completing this bucket list item.
DeStefano, Anthony M. The War on Human Trafficking: U.S. Policy Assessed. New Brunswick, NJ: Rutgers UP, 2007. Print.
Anthony M. DeStefano works for Newsday newspaper as a reported who covers New York City legal affairs and criminal justice. This book speaks about human trafficking, the laws against human trafficking, and how it affects America. He makes a point to explain that it is organized crime and that it is an issue in our own backyard. Though I did not read the entire book, I was impressed with what I did. This source helped inform me of the issue and how it takes place right under us without our knowledge.
"Donor Stories." American Red Cross. N.p., n.d. Web. 15 Apr. 2014.

Before I started researching giving blood, I decided to take a look at the stories that some people shared about their experience. As a result, I am not really sure how to cite everyone who contributed to this page, however there is one entry by Cheyanne who made a point to say, “Even though needles are my biggest fear in the world I knew my couple minutes of pain was worth it.” I found this to be extremely helpful because needles are a big fear of mine as well. The page is filled with differing stories that all seem to point out that, the pain is worth it. I found this page to be extremely helpful in the fact that it helped me relate to others who have the same needle phobia as I do. Now this bucket list item does not seem as far-fetched as it did before.
"Learn About Blood." American Red Cross. N.p., n.d. Web. 15 Apr. 2014.
http://www.redcrossblood.org/learn-about-blood
The American Red Cross has a great information page that helped me better understand the process of giving blood and the science behind it. Because, of the information given on this page, I hyperlinked it, but I am unsure who the author is. One this page, I read two related articles. One was on the types of blood and the other was on what happens after you donate the blood. Both of these articles were extremely helpful in understanding the blood donating process. Over the years, I have learned that, as I learn more about something, my fear of it decreases, so these articles were very helpful in helping me learn more and fear less.
"OUR MISSION." Our Mission. N.p., n.d. Web. 15 Apr. 2014.

When I started researching human trafficking prevention, I found The A21 Campaign. I started to really look into them, but there information page does not have a cited author, so I am unsure who wrote it. This page shows what The A21 Campaign does to protect people who have been freed, prosecute the traffickers, and prevent human trafficking. It also talks about who they are partnered with and it is good at educating others. One of my bucket list items is, seeing someone freed from human trafficking and slavery. I know this is not normal for someone to put, but it is close to my heart none the less. As a result, I have found a great organization to help me complete this item. In fact, I might have actually found a summer internship for next year.

Brigitta Nilsson Sojka works at Umeå University in the Department of Clinical Microbiology and Peter Sojka works at in the Department of Health Sciences, Mid-Sweden University. This article talks about the motives and obstacles of facing blood. They were trying to find a common motive and in order to try overcome the obstacles one faces when they are about to donate blood. They found that the most common motive and helpful way to achieve this goal is with a friend. This has helped me come to the conclusion that it would probably be helpful for me to give blood with a trusted friend who can be there with me from beginning to end.
